Weight loss information is everywhere-and then some. The trouble is most of the information out there tends to be more of the fad variety. You know the diet where you have to eat like tons of one particular item everyday--to me this simply will not work for most people--for the long haul. So below, you will find two tips, that will not only help you lose weight and reach your weight loss goals-but they will be tips that you can live with on a day-to-day basis.

PROTEIN IS IMPORTANT

I am not talking about going on a high protein diet-because again-I do not think the average person can stick to a program like that for very long. However, by eating your protein first, you will get fuller faster-which means you will end up eating less. The good thing about protein is that there are plenty of choices.
For example, you can go with chicken breasts, ground turkey, lean beef and eggs. I realize that some people might be asking, what about beans, as they contain protein as well.

But for this article we are focusing on foods that most people automatically think of when they think protein or protein rich foods. So for your next dinner-try starting the meal with some lean protein.
THE BIG SALAD
After you have finished your protein, move on to having a big salad.
But.
Hold on a second; do not make the mistake of focusing on the traditional salad stuff like iceberg lettuce.

Try some different things in there. Like broccoli, watercress, and spinach. This serves two purposes.
First, it provides you with a variety of healthy nutrients that over time can help you maintain great health.
And.
Second, it gives you some flexibility-meaning if you see something at the store that you would like to try-go for it-you are not locked down to needing to eat a certain food. Remember the beans from earlier-they will work well in your big salad as well. As a plus they will give you a good amount of fiber as well.

When you combine the power of protein with a big salad, you will find that you will really fill-up fast-and as a result you will eat less.
A SIDE BENEFIT
If you focus your eating on things like lean protein, more fiber loaded carbs choices like broccoli and the like along with healthy fat options like unsalted raw almonds to me this leaves you with a little wiggle room-and the kind of wiggle room I am talking about is for something sweet. For me this is going to be a chocolate bar-but for others it will be ice cream or maybe potato chips.
However, please remember, I said a little wiggle room-have a small portion of something your really want. As I stated above, this may go against most diet plans-but to me-if you try to be too perfect it--the diet tends to go out the window very fast
