Natural Bodybuilding Supplements, The 5 You Must Know

Forget all the hype and the newest of the new pills to achieve great power and lets get back to the basics. The goal of us all, is to be stronger, and to perfect our bodies. Though the media has led us astray with false promises of what the next great pill will do, lets get back to the basics. Lift safe and heavy, eat right, and sleep well.

Water- While not truly a supplement, it is of great importance. Many of us do not get enough and it shows. Headaches, fatigue, loss of strength and confusion are all signs that our water intake is much to low. Our bodies need water to stay cool, remove waste, and act as a base for many chemical reactions for metabolism to take place.

Protein- Protein must be consumed for the essential amino acid to enter our bodies. The 8 essential amino acids cannot be produced by our body yet are needed to create all the proteins that our body will use. Much of our body is made of protein, from the nails on your toes to the muscle you are trying so hard to grow, all made of protein. Being a big meat eater can be hard on the body, while many protein supplements are quick absorbing with little harm. Jut remember to drink plenty of water to keep those kidneys flushed.

Creatine- Another good choice for the natural bodybuilder. Creatine is found naturally in the body, 95% found in the skeletal muscle. One of its roles in the body is the transport of a phosphate in the conversion of ADP to ATP. Remember chemistry? ATP is the body's cellular fuel. ATP is the molecular form of energy that the body uses. When a muscle does work, ATP is expended and converted back to ADP, then phosphocreatine transports a phosphate and we have ATP once again.

Multi-vitamin- During those hard workouts you will be depleting your body of many vitamins and minerals. Through the body's natural metabolism, many vitamins are used. You, being above average, are going to go through these at an accelerated pace. Minerals are used for transporting nutrients, the manufacture of bones and various other chemical reactions necessary for the continuing health, and growth of the body.

Fiber- Don't start laughing, just eat that salad and take a fiber supplement. As stated earlier, most of us do not drink enough water to begin with, on top of that, if you have a diet high in the meat department this will help you more then you think. Insoluble fiber acts like an SOS pad to scrub out the insides of your intestines, helping to keep them free of irritants and breeding grounds for not so friendly bacteria. Colon cancer is a KILLER! Soluble fiber has been shown to promote heart, and arterial health. You need to keep the pump and the vessels healthy to provide oxygen and nutrients to the rest of your body.

Those are just a quick list of 5 important supplements that we all should be taking. Yes there are many, many more. Lets start from the basics, and build from there.
